Its Fall, well not officially especially not with this humid climate it isn’t! Well we at The Chic Notebook would like to think so since in a few hours designers and makeup guru’s will be revealing the “it” fashion and beauty trends for the Spring on the runways of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Move over summer it’s time to give Fall its reign. Stylistically speaking, we’re always looking for ways incorporate our bright summer staples into the fall, and frugal shoppers would tell you that your beauty choice could help you acquire the look du jour. Perhaps you’re the Kelly Cutrone of fashion, it’s always all black everything or dark on dark ensembles, that is quite okay because we have a tip that will work for you. There is something about a bright lip and a soft eye that I can’t seem to get enough of. Perhaps its the play on a vibrant hue contrasting neatly brisked lashes? Among the many beauty trends this fall, the soft flirtatious pink lip has some how revamped and this time better than ever. The Hills star Lo Bosworth walked the red carpet at the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards with a gorgeous statement lip. Read on and learn how to get Lo’s look…
The key to executing the perfect lip no matter what swatch or texture is contour. Take time to line your lip effortlessly, it makes a big difference. If you’re looking for a lacquer that will remain on your lip and less on your champagne glass at dinner then you should try dabbing your lip with concealer before applying the lipstick and a touch of gloss always does the trick.
Try This: Revelon Matte Pink Lipstick $7.99
A bold lip pairs effortlessly with a clean eye. Too many colors only add a clownish effect to your look. It is important that you keep you eye area less dramatic that means apply a skin tone shadow, less but more effective coats of mascara and a light pencil.
Try This: Maybelline Volume Express Lift-Up Mascara $6 at your local drug store.

Before I owned almost every swatch of MAC cosmetic lipstick I was a lipgloss nerd. The glistening of my makeup kit was out of control and I could only trust a few brand to give me the luxe shimmering hue that I was looking for. Luckily I’ve been a fan of BENEFIT’s packaging so whenever I get to Bloomingdale’s this counter would be on my “visit” list. Ladies, there are days when we have no time in the name of beauty and a five minute face is all we can spare. The Chic Report picks Benefit gloss for anyone whose looking to attain a lavendering look but less matte. Retails at Macy’s/ Bloomingdale/ Sephora for $18.00. I’ve added a photo to show you how it looks. Hope you like it…

I’m very particular with what types makeup I use and I absolutely love M.A.C products. I watched a tutorial online recently and one of the products the makeup artist used to add her finishing touches to the model was this golden loose bronzer
from MAC … With the results of the before and after shoots I headed to the MAC Counter at Macy’s the next day to get the product. A simple yet sultry golden freshness is what I saw after applying this bronzer
lightly to all the spots where the sun naturally shines, the forehead, nose, cheeks etc. Bronzer
is a must have in any makeup kit regardless of the brand, texture, or color. This particular bronzer
brings out a warm natural glow to your skin and its important that you apply it adequately. With the right short fluffy brush from your collection apply light powder blowing off excess powder. Too much bronzer
applied to the face will leave you looking extra shiny, too golden therefore it wont match your skin tone. If you’re looking for products to add to your makeup kit then give the MAC GOLDEN LOOSE BRONZER
a try. You will love it!
Retails at $22.00 at MAC stores/ counters and online.
