September Issues 2.0

The September Issue… no, not the movie. Although I really enjoyed this Vogue and Anna Wintour documentary and embraced the wit of Grace Coddington, I’m talking about the issues, THE September issues. It’s a new year in the fashion world and if that’s not a valid excuse to why magazines are so damn bulky and full of excitment then I don’t know what is. A few weeks ago gigantic magazine issues hit the newstands and for those lucky enough to have a subscription, your mail box. It’s like an early Christmas present but this one got a little extra attention. Caressing the pages for no slips, creases or tears may sound as if I’m taking it way too far but you have no idea. Let’s not talk about the anticipation to find out which celebrity is covering the biggest issue of the year. High end ads, trends, interviews, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, politics, home decor never looked so good. So now that October issues are about to hit the stands I would love to know what was your favorite September magazine Issue. I really enjoyed the Vogue’s , Nylon and ofcourse Marie Claire. I would love to hear from you guys….

Which reminds me: Fashion Night Out September 10th 2010.

Chic Confession: Magazines Galore

Usually I people run out of closet space but if this was my only concern then my head ache wouldn’t be this severe. My name is Chantal J and I am a “Magazholic”. LOL On a serious note I think I’m addicted to fashion magazines. Everything from Vogue to Essence, Cosmopolitian, Elle, Vanity Fair, People, Allure, Lucky, Instyle, Marie Claire, Glamour… You name it. Funny thing is I’m only subscribed to one and that’s Instyle. This is more than a confession though, I don’t regret ever buying a single copy. Reading fashion magazines makes me happy, it clears my mind, it inspires me, gives me ideas its like I’m on a different planet.

Of course I have every copy of Teen Vogue (my favorite magazine), some not pictured. I’m missing the first ever issue and the Miley Cyrus  May 2009 issue which I lent out and never received.
(Teen Vogue handbook is also pictured if you’re trying to get into fashion or beauty…get it)
One of my many piles. p.s the others were too messy for camera. lol
Is this normal? Give me your thoughts …

Amerie for Elle Magazine

Amerie posed for an exclusive fashion spread in the December issue of Elle Magazine. The outfits are tres chic and I absolutely love the flowing curls…Take a look at her pics …

I think this is great promo for her album set to release this month.
Congrats Amerie, cute pics

The Devil Wears Prada

Katie Holmes covered Elle November in this Prada dress which I instantly spotted from the first glimpse. I really love this frock, the velvet ensemble makes it super chic and red carpet worthy.

Jessica Alba in Prada frock.

The best thing about this piece is that it can be worn so many ways, bold or no accessories at all.

Amber Rose Elle Fashion Spread

Amber Rose’s modelling career is escalating really quickly don’t you think? Well whether you agree or not Amber graced the pages of Elle October and also walked the runways at NY Fashion Week Celestino by Sergio Guadarrama show. The shoot was styled by her rapper boyfriend Kanye West. If you haven’t seen them pics are below…

Go head Amber…Some of the poses are kind of random! but Im impressed!

Elle Magazine Spread: Miley Cyrus

So if you’re a magazine fanatic like then I’m sure you bought the new Elle Magazine covered by Miley Cyrus. I did and its sad that I was so disappointed with the spread. I feel like the stylist and photographer took Miley Cyrus’s image to another level. She’s ONLY 16…the outfits and the poses were too grown up. She looks like some video vixen trying to break into Hollywood on the cover of one of those trashy magazines. I’m happy for Miley (really) and I wish her all the success but they could have done so much with this shoot. Watch the pics…
