Emmy Awards Fashion: White Dresses

Although the Oscars have passed the Emmy Awards 2010 gave celebrities and fashionistas alike a haute taste of  one Hollywood’s most gorgeous night outs. While the good, the bad and the ugly yes there were those too came out to celebrate tv’s big night we can’t escape the breathe taking gowns and show stopping stilettos parading the red carpet rolled outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles California. A big trend this season at the 2010 Emmy’s were white classic dresses; embellished, laced, draped and bold accessories gave these choices a stamp of approval.

Skin Tight Dresses 101

Whether or not Letoya Luckett looks absolutely stunning in this purple partly sheer skin tight mini is out of the question. The “Lady Love” is definitely earning this look. With that being said I can help but think about all those who have failed miserably with the famous skin-tight mini. This look is for someone who is well-proportioned; not primarily skinny, thin, or petite. When wearing a skin type mini there are so many factors you must take into consideration. Fabric, length, color, body structure are just a few. Its essential that the best dress is chosen for the perfect shape. Choose pieces that will accentuate your feminine curves in the right spots.

Chic Pick: Whitney Eve Mini Dress For Outdoor Summer Wedding.

Its wedding season and I know some of my dearest readers are looking for the cute “it dress” to attend that outdoor wedding festivities. Upcoming designer and my favorite City girl Whitney Port is definitely leaving her mark on this industry. I love this dress because its simple yet bold and the flattering black and gold fabric makes it even more fashionable and daring. This is a selection from Whitney Eve’s Spring 2010 collection. Although its sold out on the site, you can use this as inspiration to find your next chic piece.

Trend: Little Black Dress

Every girl needs a “Little Black Dress” in her closet. One that is form fitting and accents your figure, super chic and tres glam! ASOS.com is one of my favorite online shopping sites and I’ve found a few pieces to help you out when shopping for the season. No…not the holiday season! Fashion Season is right around the corner. Exaggerated shoulders, lace and stingray pieces makes the “Little-Black-Dress” uber-chic! This is actually co-signed by June Ambrose. Read “Effortless Style”…
