If you don’t know these designers by now, then get familiar. The Blonds
are currently house hold names in the fashion industry and their spiky, dazzling designs are customary chic. For those of you who haven’t seen Sex and the City 2 this is not a review but what I am going to say is this; despite the mixed reviews, if you’re reading this post then you should go to see the movie. Who cares if critics are raving about the story line? We’ve seen season upon seasons of this polished upscale New York City life, estranged relationships, gay/ straight sex scenes and we’ve all been yearning for the fireworks between Carrie and Mr Big, it happened. The materialism aka the fashion has a huge part to play in the success of Sex and The City and it was undeniably well executed. Kudos to Patricia Fields (wardrobe designer) and her team. Sparky harem pants, louboutins, vintage trains/ turbans? SATC2 is a fashionistas fairytale worth seeing. So in the film the four girlfriends went away to Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) and if you look below Samantha is wearing a red dress with a plunging neckline as well as the signature statement spiky shoulder made by Phillipe and David designers of the “The Blonds”.
I had the pleasure of working The Ecco Domani show last season where this designer’s work was featured and I must say his runway pieces weigh tons! Very glamourous eye candy.
Rihanna looking SEXy in the CITY for her album release party. (R Rated)
I love the excess drapping in this dress.

There’s nothing like spotting a vintage inspired cocktail ring that’s really hard to find drawing countless compliments. Thats how exclusive I try to shop for rings because if you’re an avid reader of this blog you would know that this accessory holds a special place in my heart. No seriously… Not too long ago The Chic Report featured an amazingly talented jewelry designer Sue Tsai where she introduced her new collection “Signature” by Sue Tsai. Well her new line launched on May 4th (Im still so sad about not attending to cover the launch party) and the line is readily available. As I looked through the pics of her new collection I was blown away by the pieces. The rings stole my heart as per usual. These are a few pieces (amongst MANY) that I would like to own almost immediately.

I usually get “Look of the Week/Day” posts in on Wednesdays but I couldnt not start the blogging week off without acknowldging how fabulous and chic Janet Jackson appeared on the red carpet at the London premier of Why Did I Get Married Too. Not only did she had the style savvy taking fashion pointers, she also debuted her new short hair do which had the internet a buzz the following day. Janet looks effortless with this look and for that she deserves The Chic Report’s celeb “Look Of The Week” …
The excessive draping in this ensemble accents her curves. Beautiful silhouette, perfect hue for Janet’s fresh new look. I love it.

I’ve always been a sucka for a bright patterned pashmina during the Spring/ Summer and Fall. I cant live without them. A scarf can do so many things to uplift or transform a simple sophisticated look. So you want the ultimate “look du jour” and accessories are one of you main options. However, you would like to accomplish the look without the use of chunky necklaces, chains, crystals or beads then a patterned pashmina is the way to go. The best thing about this staple is that you have a variety of options depending on your style. Fringe, floral, tribal / digital prints or a solid hue are my favorite options. Basic boyfriend cut jeans, sandals, a v neck white tee and a bright patterned pashmina would be the ultimate “look du jour”.
I really love the fringed scarf below. Not only is it bold and bright it completes the look from head to toe. H and M is home of the abstract pashmina/scarf.
Celebs spotted wearing abstract scarfs.
Sarah Jessica Parker in bright pink scarf. I love how she played risky with her outfit. Each piece plays a different role in color that way the scarf falls right in place.
Hilary Duff has an exceptional sense of style which I love. This dark floral scarf is a must have.
Zoe Saldana brings it down a notch with a small/thinner yet outlandish version of the “it” scarf. I really love how it accents her outfit as well as her nude makeup.
How do you feel about the abstract scarf/pashmina as a key wardrobe staple? How many do you own? These are just a few I found while writing this post… trust me I doubt its even half. lol I get one everytime I go shopping, let me rephrase everytime I enter a store. (Sorry for my horrible display).

Fall collections 2009 my first fashion week ever working behind the scenes. Train traffic is seriously driving my nerves in full gear. I’ve seen The Hills, now I’m about to go to work for the same PR extraordinaire who made Lauren Conrad cry and would tell you like it is in an instant without hesitating. Here I’m I all decked in black, Chanel inspired clutch on my side (ALDO), 4 inch heels, black on black ensemble with golden bedazzling accessories, and the most stylish pair of stockings from American Apparel. The Davidelfin / Peoples Revolution show was one of my first shows at the NY Fashion Week tents. Blackberry in hand and a piece of paper with an off sight address the other, hair bouncing from my fresh blow out. I felt like the ultimate NYC Fashion chick. It was all happening I felt great except my nerves were uncontrollable. The venue must have been at an atelier between 11th and 12 ave there was no way I’d make it in these heels plus my new Steve Madden’s were not for running. Hopped on what had to be the best cab driver in the city who considerately dashed across the avenues so I can make my call time. Its 1:53 made it to the venue and now I’m collecting my credentials… Thank God!!! This could have been the beginning and the end of my fashion career but I made call time!!! I’m a nervous wreck but its time to get it together, I’m ready to work with the Peoples Rev team front of house getting directions from miss Kelly Cutrone herself and although I’m attentive I kept saying in the back of my mind. “I like her! She’s not mean…she has the mind of a business woman”. Her drive was unbelievable! When she spoke directly at me for sitting directions as inspiration showered me. Go on Kelly you have a show to produce! Fast forward to January 2010 walking in to my Fashion PR and Events Planning class and Kelly Cutrone “Kell On Earth” was the main discussion every Tuesday, that’s when I decided I’d give this book a read. I started reading yesterday and I must say this is a GREAT book. I wont give anything away until my official book review (as soon as I’m done reading). Until then find yourself at the nearest book store and pick up a copy. She has a story to tell!
