Chic Beauty Pick: MAC Loose Golden Bronzer

I’m very particular with what types makeup I use and I absolutely love M.A.C products. I watched a tutorial online recently and one of the products the makeup artist used to add her finishing touches to the model was this golden loose bronzer from MAC … With the results of the before and after shoots I headed to the MAC Counter at Macy’s the next day to get the product. A simple yet sultry golden freshness is what I saw after applying this bronzer lightly to all the spots where the sun naturally shines, the forehead, nose, cheeks etc. Bronzer is a must have in any makeup kit regardless of the brand, texture, or color. This particular bronzer brings out a warm natural glow to your skin and its important that you apply it adequately. With the right short fluffy brush from your collection apply light powder blowing off excess powder. Too much bronzer applied to the face will leave you looking extra shiny, too golden therefore it wont match your skin tone. If you’re looking for products to add to your makeup kit then give the MAC GOLDEN LOOSE BRONZER a try. You will love it!

Retails at $22.00 at MAC stores/ counters and online.

Chic Pick: Milly by Michelle Smith Trench

My favorite season has crept up upon me and I have to say that I am definitely unprepared style wise. With the preparation of my vacation (reason why I haven’t been posting) in the tropics I’ve forgotten all about the gorgeous Spring climate. Now that I’m back it has just hit me that my Spring selection is extremely low. During a moderately 70 degree week in NYC its important that you dress stylishly and appropriately executing the “it” trend flawlessly. I’ve always been an advocate for wearing trenches, but for the “fashionista on a budget” its difficult to own that famous Burberry Poseum trench. The trench always revamps itself season after season but with the military trend at its bloom it gives this staple its stamp of approval. Its a cute versatile piece that can be worn formally when paired with boots or heels or throw on flats and comfortable shoes for a more casual look. Milly by Michelle Smith sent one of her models down the Fall 2010 runway wearing a Burberry inspired trench which I think is so rich because of its unusual deep hue. The ultimate Chic Pick for the week.

So maybe I was bias when it came to picking the “Look of The Day/Week” because of the great weather that we’re having and most importantly because I’m leaving for my vacation in a few hours. If you’ve been following this blog for a while or even though you’re a new comer my picks for Look of the Day is always very simple and unique. Theybf.com posted a picture of Ciara walking around LA with a really cute outfit which I love. Plaid button down with white tank, distressed boyfriend jeans paired with cute pair of hightop sandals and black studded pocket book adding edge to a casual ensemble. I really love those sandals!
